Ms. Newman’s father had the incredible honor of carrying the Olympic Torch during the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympics, and today her 3rd graders got to hear all about his journey. Each student even had the chance to hold the Olympic Torch themselves!
With the Milan 2026 Winter Olympics currently underway, the excitement was extra special. Hands-on learning and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities like this are why we love learning! 🔥❄️
