Bringing the spirit of a Aloha to Ms. Biddulph’s 2nd grade! 🌺 Students enjoyed luau dancing, creative art projects, and learning about Hawaiian culture and traditions. Hands-on learning, music, and fun made for an unforgettable day of exploration and excitement! 🌴🌞

Step back in time with “I Survived Pioneer Time!” Ms. Martinez’s 4th graders amazed audiences with an original opera they wrote and choreographed themselves as part of their Utah History studies. Students performed for the school today and later shared a special performance for parents. The afternoon was filled with dancing, singing, laughter, and lots of pioneer spirit. What a fun and creative way to bring Utah history to life!

Our 4th graders had an amazing adventure at the Oak Hills Mountain Man Rendezvous! Students brought Utah history to life through hands-on experiences like trapping, fishing, horseback riding, candle dipping, and visiting chickens, cows, and lambs. It was a funfilled day of learning, exploring, and stepping back in time. We love seeing our students learn history through exciting real-life experiences!

Oak Hills was represented so well by our amazing students at the District Decathlon! 🎉

Students first had to qualify at the school level to earn the opportunity to compete. We are so proud of all of their hard work and dedication!

Our students loved watching caterpillars transform, and today they proudly released beautiful butterflies! 🐛🦋 Hands-on science makes learning so exciting, and the smiles on our students’ faces said it all. Our 2nd graders had an amazing field trip to the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium! 🐠 Students participated in hands-on workshops where they learned all about ocean life and the importance of protecting our ecosystems. They were especially excited to see the playful otters and incredible sharks up close! It was a day full of curiosity, discovery, and unforgettable learning experiences. We love bringing classroom lessons to life! 🌊

Today we celebrate an incredible leader—Principal Cynthia Palmer! 🎉 Her dedication, compassion, and tireless efforts make a difference in the lives of our students every single day at Oak Hills. Our Oak Hills kindergartners had an unforgettable experience with the Ogden Nature Center! 🦅✨ They brought a live eagle to teach our “Oak Hills Eagles” an educational presentation, and our students absolutely loved it! From learning about wildlife to seeing such a majestic bird up close, it was an exciting and meaningful day of discovery. Thank you to the Ogden Nature Center for inspiring curiosity, respect for nature, and a love of learning in our youngest students! 💚

We’re proud to celebrate one of our amazing students who competed in a Goalball Tournament today—and his team brought home 2nd place!

Goalball is a unique team sport designed for athletes with visual impairments. Players use their sense of hearing and teamwork to track a ball with bells inside and defend their goal by diving and blocking with their bodies. It takes incredible focus, communication, and determination!

Congratulations to our student for representing our school so well. We’re proud of your hard work, teamwork, and perseverance!

Wear Purple Thursday April 23. At Oak Hills we are showing our support to the military, and celebrating military kids!

What a way to kick off the Week of the Military Child! 🇺🇸💜 Our students brought the energy and excitement to Monday’s Obstacle Course, showing teamwork, resilience, and lots of smiles along the way. From bouncing to doing pushups , they gave it their all and had a blast supporting and celebrating our military-connected students. This is the week!

During the week of April 20th, we will also celebrate with a Military Child Appreciation Week. Each morning, as students enter the building, we will play songs representing different branches of the military between the first bell and the tardy bell. We will also share a daily military-themed fact during morning announcements.

Each day that week will include a fun theme:
April 20 – “Obstacle Course Monday”
Students who would like to participate can join obstacle course relays during first recess. We would love to have any willing teachers, TA's, etc. come join the fun!
April 21 – “Camo Day”
Wear camouflage clothing.
April 22 – “Red, White, and Blue – We Love You!”
Wear any combination of red, white, and blue.
April 23 – “Purple Up!”
Wear purple to show support for military children.

Today, our school had the opportunity to experience the powerful and engaging ResilientYOU Interactive music Assembly, presented by founder Steve James and his wife, Lisa. Their presentation quickly captured the attention and hearts of both students and staff, creating an atmosphere filled with energy, laughter, and meaningful reflection. Through a unique blend of comedy, upbeat music, and real-life stories, Steve and Lisa delivered important messages in a way that truly resonated with students of all ages. Their interactive approach kept students actively involved, making the assembly not only entertaining but also impactful. Oak Hills Eagles are Resilient!
